Job Summary

Our client is seek an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the business development strategy targeting key healthcare systems across the country with a primary focus on both IDN’s and GPO network groups to help expand our business.  They will work directly with leaders within these Healthcare networks and identify new sales opportunities, build and nurture relationships and drive the company goals at the highest level possible as it relates to our product line.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and expand relationships with key leaders and decision makers within nationwide Healthcare networks.  
  • Oversee and lead sales efforts within key health network systems across the country
  • Plan, develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies for IDN/GPO networks to establish the company as a contractor or preferred provider for their network for healthcare facilities.
  • Assist in the coordination of sales and marketing campaigns across the country to increase brand recognition and market share of the product line nationwide.
  • Work closely with the Inside Sales Team to ensure they market to the member facilities once a contract or preferred status has been acquired and drive awareness of the company product line to each location.
  • Develop and maintain consultative sales relationships with all healthcare system organizations.
  • Creating new sales opportunities through outbound calls and email contacts.
  • Working with marketing and product development to gather information regarding new product and category opportunities, and to assess the competitive market environment for company products.
  • Preparing written presentations, reports and negotiate quotes for prospects IDN/GPO groups.
  • Participation in sales meetings and possible trade shows





Required Skills

Requirements for the Job: 

• 10+ years of experience in negotiating and selling to Healthcare system executives.
• Experience in hospital or medical device market preferred.
• Strong history of sales results and sales growth achievements with healthcare networks
• Strong understanding and ability to demonstrate knowledge of the IDN business model.
• BA / BS degree in Business, Marketing, Nursing or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent telephone sales personality and skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work independently
• Consistent drive to be a top performing sales leader
• Effective time management and goal driven
• Experience with CRM database management preferred
• Willingness to perform other tasks or duties that may be assigned by management.
• Proficient level of computer skills including MS Office
