The Director of Business Development will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing strategic sales plans, building strong relationships with key OEM customers, and leading a high-performing sales team. This individual will identify new business opportunities, nurture existing accounts, and represent the company’s full suite of design, molding, and manufacturing services to medical device companies.

Our integrated solutions support every stage of the product lifecycle—from concept through commercialization.
Responsibilities
- Formulate the company's sales goals and develop actionable sales plans to achieve them.
- Develop new business opportunities that align with company goals and capabilities.
- Research and conduct market studies for new products and service offerings.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with medical OEMs.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects through the entire sales cycle.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive long-term partnerships.
- Maintain a structured system for objectively measuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure total customer satisfaction across all accounts and touchpoints.
- Coordinate and obtain internal approval for all customer quotations.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, operations, and marketing to align sales efforts with delivery capabilities.
- Participate in new product and service development initiatives to ensure market relevance.
- Track and report on key sales metrics, forecasts, and performance indicators.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market shifts to adjust strategy proactively.
- Provide leadership that fosters a company-wide culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Hire, train, support, and, when necessary, terminate sales representatives.
- Provide ongoing technical support and professional development to the sales team.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred not required)
- 8–10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in contract manufacturing for the medical device industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and meet/exceed revenue goals in a technical sales environment
- Strong understanding of the medical device product lifecycle, regulatory environment (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA), and OEM dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
- Ability to travel up to 30–40% to support customer engagement and attend industry events
