Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company objectives and sales targets in the corrugated container industry.
- Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate a team of indirect salespeople to achieve individual and team sales targets. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their continuous professional development.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners in the corrugated container industry. Identify customer needs, negotiate contracts, and manage customer expectations to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and sales data to develop accurate sales forecasts. Prepare regular sales reports and present them to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor activities and market trends to identify opportunities for growth. Develop strategies to differentiate our products and services in the market.
- Sales Performance Evaluation: Track individual and team performance against sales targets, KPIs, and objectives. Provide regular performance feedback, conduct performance reviews, and implement corrective actions, if necessary.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of sales activities.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape in the corrugated container industry. Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to network and gather market intelligence.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales goals.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in sales management, preferably in the corrugated container industry or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of the corrugated container industry, including knowledge of products, market dynamics, and customer needs.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team to achieve targets.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to drive strategic decision-making.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.
- Ability to travel as required to meet with customers, attend industry events and visit sales teams.
