Interviewing Immediately - IAR Financial Advisor - Connecticut

Our client is a private Registered Investment Advisory firm looking to hire a driven, entrepreneurial minded financial advisor to join a growing team of investment professionals and build out new business. Our client is a focused firm with 29 plus years of money management experience looking to build their dynamic team. They specialize in retirement income distribution planning and building long-term relationships with their clients and their diverse needs. This role offers flexible earning potential and growth based upon acquired client base.

The IAR Financial Advisor will receive detailed training in every aspect of financial planning as well as strategy for obtaining new clients.

This position is based in the existing Connecticut office and the candidate must be able to travel locally for hosted seminars and events as well as outside of state quarterly for continued training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • College degree
  • 1-3 years of financial services experience
  • Mandatory prior to employment; Life and Health plus Series 65
  • MSFS, CFP, ChFC designations are a plus
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, interpersonal and management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills for customizing client portfolios
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to host planned seminars to educate and build new client base

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly educational seminar/workshops
  • Meet with new clients on a regular basis to review and maintain custom investment strategy
  • Assist clients with all phases of the financial planning process and implementation
  • Provide financial planning advice to include investment, insurance and retirement to prospects covering tax management, asset management, risk management, estate planning and legacy planning
  • Keeping detailed client notes in CRM system
  • Assist with planning and participate in client appreciation events


Our client offers a Base salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 and a generous commission and bonus program yielding an average of $250,000 - $275,000 total earnings for first year reps. The culture is best described as an environment that rewards performance with work life balance.
