Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Industry Experience: A background in construction or manufacturing environments 
  • Product Knowledge: Hands-on familiarity with industrial-grade tools or building materials 
  • On-Site Exposure: Experience working on active construction job sites 
  • Territory Management: Candidates must be comfortable managing a multi-state sales territory.
  • Develop existing distributors and end-users, as well as prospecting for new business.
  • Train inside and outside salespeople on the product 
  • Search for new distributors as needed within the territory
  • Work closely with manufacturers.
  • Sell product features and benefits, plus build sales through guidance and recommending new opportunities.
  • Jobsite visits to demonstrate products to contractors with distribution
  • Working with distributors and their staff to build sales with their customers.
  • Required to work trade shows, which include some nights and weekends.
  • 90% of the time in the field
  • Ability to manage 1-2 nights of overnight travel per week (company-paid expenses)

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • Experience selling construction supplies, worked with contractors directly, or has experience within the industrial tools or building materials industry.
