Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and target potential customers in industries such as Construction, Commercial Trucking, Petrochemical, Rental Companies, Agriculture, and Oilfield Services. Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients. Understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their business objectives.
- Sales Presentations & Product Education: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and value of the company’s fuel and lubricants products.
- Contract Negotiations & Closing: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers. Work with the internal team to ensure orders are processed smoothly and client expectations are met.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to provide valuable insights and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Sales Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities in the CRM system. Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the inside sales, customer service, and operations teams to ensure customer needs are met and service levels are maintained.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2+ years of outside sales experience, ideally in a B2B environment, with a strong preference for experience in bulk fuel, lubricants, or a related industry (Construction, Trucking, Agriculture, Oil & Gas, etc.).
- Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the fuel and lubricants market or related sectors is highly desirable but not required. Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards is a plus.
- Sales Skills: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals, with experience in all aspects of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build rapport with clients.
- Self-Motivated: A self-starter with a strong sense of accountability, the ability to work independently, and manage time effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze customer needs, address concerns, and provide tailored solutions that add value to their business.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (experience with Salesforce or similar tools preferred).
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
