Then this is an opportunity to work for a well-respected, employee-friendly company as a Regional Sales Manager.  Our client is a leading manufacturer of Automation and Safety Controls for the Metal Stamping Industry and Data Collection Software for all discrete manufacturing. Their products are used in the medical, manufacturing, and automotive industries.

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will manage a network of Manufacturer Representatives, train representatives on the product line, and travel within the Southeastern US and Canadian territory to support business activity and develop and maintain relationships with reps and end-users. You are an individual with a hunter mentality, a sense of urgency, accountability, and good solid sales skills. 1. Ability to learn about products and niche markets and be able to apply this knowledge.
2. Building and forming relationships with manufacturer reps so you can effectively work together.

Regional Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Manage a network of Manufacturers Reps
  • Training of rep personnel on the product line
  • Traveling with reps in a sales and product support role
  • Work with National Sales Manager to develop an annual sales forecast
  • Prospect for new accounts and opportunities in various ways
  • Champion the efforts of the reps 
  • Address performance issues when required
  • Be a team player and champion the company objectives
  • Manage new customer requirements and new opportunities
  • Maintain records in our CRM of current opportunities and their status
  • Travel as required to support business activity and to develop and maintain relationships with reps and end-users

Required Skills

Skills and Experience

  • Outside Business to Business sales experience
  • Experience working with Manufacturers' Representatives preferred
  • Mechanical or electrical knowledge or experience
  • Electro-mechanical background or familiarity with industrial controls including PLC's and Motor Controls is a plus
  • Knowledge of metalworking industries is a plus
  • Solid communication skills both written and oral
  • Very strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Work experience is also considered.
  • Sales Rep management experience preferred
