Our client seeks an enthusiastic, results-driven, team-oriented Regional Sales Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and coaching a team of 7-10 District Sales Managers to gain new business, growing ongoing sales with existing clients, and building long-term relationships within the industrial tool industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

Key Performance Objectives:
Maintain high performaning region for the company with 5-10% growth
Help develop, monitor, and guide the sales planning efforts of the field sales representatives
Ensure field representatives have strong and deep knowledge of the customers and prospects in each product area and geographic area
Strategic coach on KYC (Know Your Customer) for each field rep

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage 7-10 field sales reps
  • Provide guidance on sales planning and execution for 5-10% growth
  • Manage and develop a network of sales representatives in the assigned region
  • Manage a pipeline of sales leads to effectively track and support the strategic development of reps
  • Set and meet annual target revenues and maintain profitability for the territory, targeting and pursuing large projects
  • Develop and maintain a forecast of sales opportunities in the database
  • Provide timely and accurate account reporting in the database
  • Attract, train, and introduce new representatives and dealers to products and the company
  • Report competitive information to the company
  • Support all departments: technical support, particularly problem resolution; new products and marketing efforts; supports the credit department
  • Provide periodic performance feedback to sales reps and conduct end-of-year performance reviews 

Required Skills

  • Travel in field 3 weeks per month and ride with direct reports
  • 5 plus years of successful sales management experience with outside field representatives
  • A unique blend of skills, both technical and customer/sales-oriented
  • Strong work ethic, efficiency, and attention to detail are imperative
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals in a sales team environment
  • Ability to manage multi-party sales scenarios for larger sales
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, growth environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to juggle simultaneous, high-priority projects
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively listen to both internal and external teams
