Our client is an industry-leading Acoustical Treatment and Sound Masking Company and we are actively searching for a Regional Sales Manager located in the NJ and Philadelphia area to join their team. The Regional Sales Manager will:
- Report to the President of the company and interact with the Field Sales Engineers in the region
- Manage and develop a network of manufacturer’s representatives in the assigned region
- Manage a pipeline of sales leads to effectively track and support the strategic development of reps/dealers
- Set and meet annual target revenues and maintains profitability for territory, targeting and pursuing large projects
- Develop and maintain a forecast of sales opportunities in database
- Provide timely and accurate account reporting in the database
- Price projects in compliance with pricing policies
- Assist in the development of pricing strategies
- Attract, train and introduce new representatives and dealers to products and company
- Develop relationships with referral network including architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and distributors in the region
- Report competitive information to the company
- Support all departments: technical support, particularly problem resolution; new products and marketing efforts; supports credit department
- Support manufacturer’s reps and dealers at regional trade shows and events to promote products
- Provide periodic performance feedback to Manufacturer’s Reps and conduct end of year performance reviews
- A unique blend of skills, both technical and customer/sales-oriented
- Strong work ethic, efficiency, and attention to detail are imperative
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals in a channel sales environment
- Ability to manage multi-party sales scenarios for larger sales
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, growth environment
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to juggle simultaneous, high-priority projects
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively listen to both internal and external teams
- Experience with acoustics, audio systems, commercial electronics, security systems, AV equipment a plus
- Ability to work remotely out of a home office and as a 1099 Independent Contractor Status
