The Sales and Business Development-Outsourced Medical Device Engineering and Manufacturing will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and executing strategic sales plans, and building strong relationships with key OEM customers in medical manufacturing and engineering. This individual will identify new business opportunities, nurture existing accounts, and represent the company’s full suite of design, molding, and manufacturing and engineering services to medical device companies.

Responsibilities
Keys to Success:
1. Strategic Sales Planning and Execution: Setting realistic but ambitious targets, segmenting the market, prioritizing key accounts, and aligning sales efforts with business capabilities.
2. Relationship Building with Medical OEM Decision-Makers: Regular engagement, trust-building, and long-term partnership development are critical in complex B2B sales cycles.
3. Deep Industry and Technical Knowledge: Understanding medical device manufacturing processes, regulatory considerations, and product lifecycle management.
4. Opportunity Identification and Pipeline Management: Building and maintaining a robust pipeline, proactively identifying aligned opportunities, and closing deals effectively.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Customer Satisfaction: Managing internal communication, ensuring realistic timelines and deliverables, and tracking satisfaction metrics.
Other Responsibilities:
- Individual contributor role with call point medical device manufacturer
- Research and conduct market studies for new products and service offerings.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with medical OEMs.
- Maintain a structured system for objectively measuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure total customer satisfaction across all accounts and touchpoints.
- Coordinate and obtain internal approval for all customer quotations.
- Work closely with engineering, quality, operations, and marketing to align sales efforts with delivery capabilities.
- Participate in new product and service development initiatives to ensure market relevance.
- Track and report on key sales metrics, forecasts, and performance indicators.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in contract manufacturing and engineering services to the medical device industry
- Demonstrated ability to meet/exceed revenue goals in a technical sales environment
- Strong understanding of the medical device product lifecycle, regulatory environment (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA), and OEM dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
- Ability to travel (mostly locally) to support customer engagement and attend industry events
