Responsibilities


In summary, the Territory Specialist onboards newly generated accounts in a predetermined geographic territory that has been brought in by the Territory Director. Many Territory Directors were promoted from Territory Specialist roles. This critical in-field support position works in partnership with Territory Directors. You learn the various services provided while you are in the field learning while doing.


KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Know the Client's Facilities/Clinics/Medical Centers and the members of the client team
  • Learn details of company products and service offerings in the PCR test arena
  • Understand client's pain points and address their needs to develop an affinity and commitment to the company
  • Achieve material wins but expanding the use of the lab services company offers

Other Responsibilities:
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory (Iowa Des Moines based) under the direction of the Sales Management to call on current customers and solicit new and profitable business
  • Responsible for assisting in the growth of new and current business
  • Thrives on feedback to improve sales delivery and territory management
  • Schedule, coordinate, and deliver in-service training at customer sites
  • Train, demonstrate, and educate clinic staff in the proper processing of requisitions and sample collection procedure
  • Ensure all customers are adequately always stocked with appropriate supplies
  • Plan, execute, and follow through on visits to existing accounts in the territory management plan designed to make an impact on retaining the client and deepening your connection to the members of the medical center staff.
  • Identify, communicate, and help resolve any service issues, billing issues, or customer complaints
  • Schedule, arrange, and/or coordinate transportation pick-ups from medical offices/clinics/medical center offices
  • Territory travel required up to 50%

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field of study preferred
  • Exceptional verbal/ written communication skills
  • One to two years of documented successful sales numbers in business-to-business, medical sales, or competitive in-home presentation
