Sales Recruiters has been retained by a stable, well-funded client who is doubling its sales force in the next three years. Our client provides advances in distribution chain management solutions that encompass both people and services for all modes, with full optimization, and complete and wide visibility into their customer's data. They have secured big wins with some very prominent well-known companies.

 

Responsibilities

Performance Objectives for 2022:
1. Build Pipeline and make connections in the vertical
2. Represent the company at industry events and identify opportunities
3. Proper understanding of support resources
4. Be the subject matter expert for the company
5. Be the Quarterback for the company to customer to address Distribution Chain Management issues
6. Follow a proven strategic planning model the company sets forth and interact with all VP & C-level executives to plan initiatives.

Performance Objectives 2023:
1. Develop predictable, consistent growth
2. Consistent performance of $1 million run rate
3. Advance 3 (three) deals per quarter with an annualized value of $750k
4. Provide management feedback on tools or needs to serve vertical

What you’ll be doing:
• Engage and qualify leads and secure meetings with targeted prospects
• Understand business challenges of prospective customers
• Foster professional relationships in targeted markets
• Must have an Executive mindset and be a leader within the sales team, mentor, and partner in the sales process
• Engage and advance new sales prospects
• Complete all business processes within applicable technology platforms
• Partner with Solutions, Marketing, and Operations teams to strategize and close sales
• Must be coachable and have a desire to learn
• Meet production requirements as defined by the Chief of Sales
• Have an unwavering commitment to the mission, values, and vision of the company

Required Skills

Minimum Education and Experience

· Eight to twelve years of prior managed services sales experience, or three to four years of proven sales success within managed transportation services
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
· Excellent customer service, time management, and prioritization skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in person and via phone
· Ability to understand, interpret, and explain complex and abstract issues and respond appropriately
· Able to utilize sound, independent judgment and make responsible decisions and recommendations
· Excellent follow-through and detailed orientation
· Able to effectively utilize computer programs including Word and Excel and transportation management system
· Ability to build and leverage relationships and strong ability to persuade, negotiate, and positively influence others

Our client is looking for a sales strategist and someone experienced in strategic selling, not a master of logistics. Someone who can have a business-based conversation with high-level executives. Someone who manages services (intangible) solution selling type, not product based.
 

  • Someone who understands longer sales cycles 
  • Experience managing a $1M territory 
  • Experience with enterprise-level sales
